"My Spartan Race was easy!"


One day I walked into the gym for a WOD and noticed ropes hanging from the ceiling. Something like that instantly brought memories of middle school PE (and my inability to climb a rope). Wylie quickly showed me how to rope climb using your feet and I felt like the most rugged person in the world – this became my favorite movement in the gym hands-down.  I never thought I’d be able to do it so easily, so much so that I texted a couple gym friends that night and signed up for a Spartan race for that movement alone. A few months later, we’d done the Spartan and found it pretty easy! Turns out the functional fitness thing is real. Anyway, we’re aiming to train for a longer one now – hopefully that still has rope climbs.
