I’ve been a member of Subversus for about 8 months now and like many others I was intimidated by the thought of jumping right into a class. Due to my schedule I chose to do Foundations as personal training with Morgan. I could not be happier with my decision because the 1 on 1 attention I received was exactly what I needed. The knowledge, attention and instruction from Morgan as well as the rest of the coaches is incredible. After lifting weights on my own for over 20 years I have learned so much from them about proper form/technique and I’m currently able to perform lifts and movements I never thought possible. Before training at Subversus, running was painful. I’ve had everything from runner’s knee to plantar fasciitis to peroneal tendinitis. After my first marathon, I couldn’t walk normally for about a month. This was my fourth marathon, and it was completely injury free – I could even walk down stairs like a normal person! The trick was, believe it or not, running LESS and focusing on making my body a stronger, more efficient movement system.

I had been doing CrossFit for about four years when I finally got to the point where I just couldn’t improve anymore. So despite my love for donuts, I finally decided to talk to Morgan about nutrition. I had no idea if it would work or how quickly the effects would be shown, but it was almost incredible what a difference it made. In two months I lost about 15 pounds and everything became faster and easier. Morgan is a miracle worker!

Morgan understands that everyone is different. In order for something like this to work long term, it has to be comfortable and not feel like you are constantly denying yourself.

If you are someone who has hit a wall in CrossFit, you should immediately talk to Morgan, stick with her plan for at least a few months, and I feel very confident you’ll see progress.
