In 2010, I was part of a weight loss challenge. At 320 pounds, I knew I needed to change my life. After shedding weight by just walking, then jogging and running, I joined the Broad Street Run (x6) and the Philadelphia half-marathon (x2). The benefits of living a healthy and active lifestyle were clear to me.
I found CrossFit in 2014 and it has been a love affair ever since. I began my functional fitness journey at Subversus while working at Jefferson Hospital where I’m currently Clinical Coordinator in GI & Liver Transplant.
CrossFit gave me a place to get strong and feel accepted into a special community. As a Level 1 coach, my transformation has come full circle. I went from a sedentary lifestyle to a full-on CrossFit coach, so my experience relates to athletes at every level of fitness.
